Tuesday, Oct. 8

          A man reported that someone took one of his checks and cashed it.

Wednesday, Oct. 9

A woman reported that someone damaged the front window of her property in the 3100 block of Caniff.

          A man reported that someone has been making harassing phone calls.

          A woman accused her mother of abusing her grandson after she hit the woman’s 6-year-old son.

          A woman reported that her children were assaulted by a classmate at Caniff Liberty Academy.

          A Belmont St. resident reported that someone dumped a large amount of brush and yard debris on his property.

          Officers investigating a car crash at Caniff, just west of Jos. Campau, discovered the driver had been drinking and has a suspended driver’s license. The driver was arrested.

Thursday, Oct. 10

          A Sobieski St. man who said he wanted to kill himself was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital.     

          A man was robbed on Trowbridge St. near Ellery as he was getting out of his car.

A band member of the punk rock band Agent Orange was robbed at gunpoint outside Paychecks Lounge by two men. The suspects took a cellular phone and cash.

          A man reported someone broke into his 2000 Cadillac that was parked in the 2300 block of Botsford and stole a handgun.

          At 9:30 a.m. a man reported that three men broke the passenger door window of his father’s 2004 Mitsubishi while it was parked at Family Donut. The suspects fled in a 1992 Toyota.

          At 11 a.m., a woman reported being assaulted by four teens while in the 8900 block of Jos. Campau.

A resident reported that an unknown person reported earning income under her social security number.                                                                         

A Detroit woman reported her Chevrolet Venture van was stolen from the area of Carpenter and Nagel.                                                                                          A Hamtramck man reported someone opened a Verizon cell phone account in his name and charged $700 to the account.                                                     

Two neighbors on Charest St. had a fight and one threw a beer bottle at the other. No injuries were reported.                                   

Friday, Oct. 11

          A 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix that was stolen was recovered in Hamtramck.

          Michigan State Police dropped off a person at the Hamtramck police station who was wanted on an outstanding Hamtramck warrant.

Saturday, Oct. 12

          At a few minutes past midnight, a man said he was assaulted by two men armed with baseball bats while he was walking near his home in the 11300 block of Sobieski St. At about the same time, a resident in the 3000 block of Yemans St. was threatened by a man armed with a handgun. The suspect fled in a blue van.

          At 3 a.m. a woman living in the 12000 block of Grand Haven St. reported a man she knows threatened her with a handgun after the two got into an argument.

Sunday, Oct. 13

          At about midnight a person reported being robbed at gunpoint while in the 11300 block of Klinger St.

At 1 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance in front of Club Aces Bar at 11425 Jos. Campau.     

         

Monday, Oct. 14

          At 10:30 p.m. a woman living in the 11300 block of St. Aubin St. reported someone damaged a double-paned window in the rear of her house with a brick.

          At 9 a.m. a resident reported someone kicked in the front door of her residence. The woman said nothing was missing from her house.

          Officers investigating a report of an armed robbery found two suspects matching the description. Officers then determined there was no robbery, but there was an assault with a gun and arrested the suspects.

          A resident reported that several appliances were stolen from a multi-unit residence on Carpenter St.

          In a follow-up investigation about an assault on Saturday night, two juvenile suspects were arrested on felony charges. The victim was listed in critical condition at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

          A person was robbed while in the area of Poland and Brombach by a suspect described as wearing all dark clothing and riding a bike.

          A woman reported being robbed of her prescription medication while at a pharmacy on Conant. Officers spotted the suspect and chased him to railroad tracks near Conant and Jacob. The suspect was arrested.
