          This week’s Crime Log covers Oct. 28-Nov. 4.

Monday, Oct. 28

A woman reported that the night before she was assaulted while at Club Aces on Jos. Campau

Mohamed Al-Somiri reported that on Oct. 26, someone set garbage on fire on the second floor of the former Shopper’s World building on Jos. Campau.

A woman reported that someone stole her cell phone while in the 3200 block of Caniff.

A Commor St. resident said his neighbor hit his car and drove away.

At 5:30 p.m. a woman was arrested in the CVS parking lot for possessing narcotics. Officers initially responded to call that a person was passed out in the parking lot.

Tuesday, Oct. 29

Officers and detectives arrested a Clinton Twp. man for dealing heroin. The man was initially pulled over for a traffic violation at Jos. Campau and Jacob St.

A Norwalk St. resident reported receiving harassing phone calls for over a month.

A McDougall St. resident was arrested after a traffic stop revealed several unauthorized prescription pills in his possession.                                                                                 

A woman living in the 3100 block of Trowbridge St. said that when she returned home, her front and rear doors were open. However, upon further investigation nothing appeared to be missing.

Two men got into a fight in a store on Conant. One man was hit with a feather duster and the other man was pushed into a parked car. No arrests were made.

A woman reported someone stuffed a Snickers candy bar in the gas tank of her car while it was parked in the housing projects.              

Wednesday, Oct. 30

At 2 a.m., two men were seen trying to kick in the front door of a house in the 2400 block of Andrus St. The men ran off before officers arrived.

At 11:30 a.m. a man was arrested at 12197 Conant for attempting to cash a stolen check.

A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend had been stalking her for the past week.

A woman in the 2300 block of Botsford St. reported someone broke into her house between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

A teen in the housing projects was ticketed for violating the city’s curfew.

A man on Trowbridge St. reported that he had an argument with his ex-brother-in-law.               

Officers responded to a house on McDougall St. for a report of family trouble. Officers located a man locked in his room. He became aggressive towards officers and police tased him. The man was then arrested.

Thursday, Oct. 31

A woman reported that her Dodge Stratus was stolen in the 3300 block of Comstock St. sometime between Oct. 30-31.

A man reported that he was assaulted in the area of Charest and Casmere by four to five men.

Officers were dispatched to a house on Charest St. to check on the well being of the upper flat tenant. Officers were unable to make contact. The family feared the resident may be injured, which prompted officers to force entry. The tenant was inside and said she was fine.        

Friday, Nov. 1

A woman living in the 2200 block of Belmont St. said she was assaulted by her boyfriend.

A woman reported that someone broke the rear window of her Kia Sedona while it was parked in the 3800 block of Norwalk St.

Officers responded to a house on McDougall St. on a report of a mentally unstable woman. Officers transported the female to Detroit Receiving Hospital for treatment.   

Saturday, Nov. 2

          A man said a person he knows assaulted him at an establishment in the 9700 block of Conant.

          At 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a call that a robbery and gunfire was happening in the 3100 block of Holbrook. Upon arrival, officers found nothing going on.

          Officers arrested a man who had just robbed a woman of her purse while she was at Commor and Mitchell.

          Officers arrested a Hamtramck man for an open warrant and being drunk and disorderly in public.                  

Sunday, Nov. 3

          At about 1 a.m. a man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend at her residence in the 12000 block of Selfridge St.

          At almost 2:30 a.m. a woman said her boyfriend stole her ID and $250 from her purse.

          Three people were arrested following a disturbance in the 2000 block of Caniff.

          A resident was arrested for drunk driving and carrying a concealed weapon after crashing into several vehicles in the area of Casmere and Mackay.

          Two Neibel St. residents were arrested for domestic abuse and one of them for an outstanding Wayne County arrest warrant.

Monday, Nov. 4

A Nagel St. resident reported the theft of his 1996 Mercury. Detroit police later reported recovering the car, but said it had been damaged.
