          This week’s Crime Log covers Dec. 12-20

Thursday, Dec. 12

A woman reported that a woman she knows removed a water tank from a house in the 2200 block of Danforth St.

          A man reported that his sister took his caregiver check by changing his address with the Department of Human Services.

          A woman reported that someone opened a Verizon account in her name without her permission.

          A Mitchell St. resident reported that her prescription medication was stolen from her mailbox.

          A Nagel St. woman reported a break-in of her house and the theft of several items.

          A Detroit resident was arrested after kicking in a glass door at Little Caesars on Jos. Campau.

Friday, Dec. 13

          At 12:13 a.m. a man was arrested for driving without a license and improper license plates.

          A person reported that his license plate was stolen while his car was parked in the 3800 block of Caniff.

Saturday, Dec. 14

At 6 p.m. three Hamtramck residents were arrested for breaking into a house and having outstanding arrest warrants and also possessing drug paraphernalia.

          At 2:13 a.m. officers kicked in the front door at the Hamtramck Hotel on Holmes St. in order to allow an ambulance crew to transport a person who suffered a stroke.

Sunday, Dec. 15

          At 9 a.m. a resident of Florian St. reported a break-in.

          At 7:30 p.m., a man robbed Campau Tower and assaulted an employee.

Monday, Dec. 16

          At 3:30 a.m. A woman living in the 2400 block of Faber St. reported her ex-boyfriend damaged the front of her residence.

          A Jacob St. resident reported his residence had been broken into and ransacked. The man said nothing appeared to be missing.

Tuesday, Dec. 17

          At 2:30 a.m. a St. Aubin St. resident reported his residence was broken into and flat screen TV and jewelry were stolen.

          The principal of Caniff Liberty Academy said two students were acting suspicious. A cell phone was confiscated from one of them.

          A hit and run crash was reported at Yemans and Conant.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

          No report was available for this date.

Thursday, Dec. 19

A Caniff resident reported that someone attempted to steal his car while it was parked in the 3100 block of Caniff.

A Trowbridge St. resident was arrested for shoplifting after attempting to steal several candy bars and chips from a Jos. Campau store.

A Dequindre St. resident reported his car stolen from 8926 Jos. Campau, but he then recovered the car on Danforth St.

A Flint resident reported his 1999 gray Chevrolet pickup was stolen from the Jos. Campau/Poland area.

Friday, Dec. 20

          A woman reported that her 2006 Dodge Caravan was stolen while it was parked in the 2400 block of Goodson St.

          A man was arrested at the Mobil gas station on Caniff for stealing.

          A woman reported that the tires from her 2012 Chevrolet Impala were stolen while the car was parked in the 11600 block of Nagel St.

          A Lehman St. resident reported someone broke into house.

          A Charest St. man reported someone broke into his garage.
