This week’s Crime Log covers March 24-30.
Tuesday, March 24
At 2:30 a.m. Detroit police recovered a car stolen out of Hamtramck.
A supervisor at a business in the 11600 block of Klinger reported that a former employee left a threatening note. Later in the day, the former employee returned to the business and “bumped” into the supervisor.
A Detroit resident was arrested following a traffic stop for driving without a license and possessing drug paraphernalia.
A driver reported that while driving on Gallagher at Trowbridge a female teenager threw a brick at his car.
A resident was arrested for disorderly conduct after placing hundreds of phone calls to the police department during all shifts for four days. The resident entered the police station demanding to fight officers.
Family members of a 72-year-old man who lives in the 2400 block of Goodson reported him missing. The man later returned home safely.
Child Protective Services reported an ongoing case of child abuse.
Wednesday, March 25
At almost 2 a.m. a driver was arrested following a traffic stop for drunk driving.
At about 3 a.m. a person was arrested for being disorderly following an investigation in the area of Caniff and Nagel.
A resident in the 3300 block of Comstock reported the theft of her 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo.
A Detroit resident was arrested following a traffic stop for driving without a license and having fraudulent proof of insurance.
A driver of a church van reported that a man driving a red Toyota had been following him for the past month.
A manager for a business in the 11600 block of Sobieski reported that a former employee stole work keys and refused to return them. The ex-employee also dropped off threatening letters.
A Winfield resident was ticketed for trimming a city-owned tree in Zussman Park.
A resident in the 2300 block of Caniff reported that four juveniles threw rocks at his windows and ran away.
Thursday, March 26
At 12:30 a.m. a resident in the 3200 block of Jacob reported a break-in.
A Hanley resident reported her car was broken into and several items were stolen.
A Harper Woods resident was arrested for having fraudulent proof of insurance.
A resident in the 11500 block of Fleming made a domestic violence report. The suspect was gone when officers arrived.
Friday, March 27
At 6 a.m. a resident was arrested after assaulting his mother while at their residence in the 12000 block of Grand Haven.
A suspect was arrested for attempting to rob patrons at a store in the 3200 block of Holbrook.
A car that was originally reported as stolen was instead legally repossessed.
A resident in the 9700 block of Dequindre reported the theft of his 2005 Chevy Trailblazer.
A McDougall resident reported that someone used his Social Security number to file a tax return.
A Detroit resident was arrested following a traffic stop for driving with improper plates, obstruction and being wanted on a felony warrant for fleeing and eluding, car theft and obstruction.
A resident was arrested after he broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend and assaulted her. The man was also wanted on four felony warrants.
A resident reported that after getting into a verbal argument with his son, his son threatened to kill him. When officers arrived the son had fled.
Saturday, March 28
A person was assaulted by several suspects while at a party store in the 2100 block of Caniff.
A Klinger resident reported being assaulted by six male juveniles who also stole his iPhone while he was at Danforth and Jos. Campau.
A gray shaggy-haired terrier mix was dropped off at the police station. The dog was found in the Edwin-Dequindre area and had a pink leash.
Sunday, March 29
At 2:40 a.m. a Detroit man was arrested for disorderly conduct and failing to disclose his CCW permit.
At almost 5 a.m. a person reported being robbed by two men while in the 2300 block of Evaline.

Monday, March 30
At 12:40 a.m. officers attempted to pull over the driver of a 1998 Chevy Venture, but the driver fled.
At 2:10 a.m. a Detroit resident was arrested for drunk driving after officers investigated a disturbance at Lumpkin and Caniff.
A resident reported someone used their identity information to open three DTE Energy accounts for residences in Detroit.
Officers investigated a complaint about a verbal altercation that took place in the 12000 block of Selfridge.
