This week’s Crime Log covers June 9-15.

Tuesday, June 9
A person reported the theft of their 2000 Dodge Caravan while it was parked in the 2000 block of Norwalk.
Royal Market on Jos. Campau reported receiving a bad check.
A man reported someone attempted to withdraw $2,955 from his bank account via Western Union.
Michigan State Police reported they found an elderly man who had been reported as missing. The man was taken home.
An agent for St. Joseph’s Nursing home reported an employee who had been fired failed to return a laptop.
A juvenile reported someone took his bike, a black Mongoose with a black front tire and a white rear tire. The bike was stolen from the Lumpkin-Edwin area.
A man reported a garage break-in in the 9300 block of McDougall.
Wednesday, June 10
A 13-year-old resident reported his black and white Mongoose bike was stolen.
A resident in the 11500 block of Nagel reported a garage break-in. The resident said his red Homelite weed eater was stolen.
A Detroit resident was arrested for robbery after he used force to steal an iPhone from a Hamtramck resident in the 10200 block of Jos. Campau. The phone was recovered and the suspect was charged with multiple felonies and was also wanted a warrant from St. Clair Shores for a probation violation. A Hamtramck woman was also placed under arrest during the investigation for having three outstanding Hamtramck warrants.
A woman was arrested after striking a man on a bike with her car and then fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital with a serious head injury.
An agent of a business in the 10200 block of Jos. Campau was chasing after a group of suspects who stole his cell phone when another person in his store stole his laptop that was sitting on a counter.
A man reported someone broke into his house in the 3800 block of Miller through an unlocked front door.
A man reported the theft of his dumpster trailer in the 8600 block of Jos. Campau.
A person reported receiving threatening phone calls.
A man reported the theft of his handicap sign in front of his residence in the 2600 block of Zinow.
A man reported the theft of his daughter’s bike from his garage in the 2700 block of Belmont.

Thursday, June 11
A man who had been evicted from a residence in the 2300 block of Whalen was arrested for returning there and tossing a brick through a window.
A woman said her boyfriend stole her iPhone after they had an argument.
A man reported seeing two men steal a package off a porch in the 2300 block of Neibel.
Friday, June 12
A resident dropped off a purse at the police station. The purse was found on the sidewalk in the 9300 block of Jos. Campau.
At almost midnight, a woman reported that after she walked in on an argument between her sister and her sister’s boyfriend, she left her sister’s residence. The boyfriend followed the woman outside and punched her in the face and broke her cell phone as she tried to call police.
A woman reported the theft of her Chevrolet Impala while it was parked on Dorothy.
A break-in of a garage in the 11000 block of Mitchell was reported.
A Belmont woman reported that someone she knows broke her front door window following an argument.
A man in the 2400 block of Burger reported someone stole a metal gate off his window.
A man reported someone attempted to break into his residence in the 2400 block of Alice.
Saturday, June 13
At about 11:15 p.m. a woman reported that her ex-boyfriend kicked out her car window. However, the ex-boyfriend and other witnesses said it was the woman who kicked out her own car window.
At 11:30 p.m. a man in the 2600 block of Belmont assaulted his father, and then flipped over furniture and broke out windows. A 4-year-old child was injured by the flying debris and glass.
At 1 a.m. a homeowner in the 12000 block of Nagel reported waking up and finding a suspect inside their home. The suspect fled but left behind a backpack that had been stolen in an earlier break-in.
A resident in the 12000 block of Lumpkin reported a break-in and the theft of three laptops, a backpack, credit cards and a French passport.
A Hanley resident reported his 2002 Chrysler Voyager was stolen from the 3200 block of Hanley.
A Comstock resident reported the theft of two bikes and a grill from her backyard.
Sunday, June 14
A resident in the 12000 block of Fleming reported a break-in.
A resident in the 2400 block of Florian reported a garage break-in.
A resident in the 2900 block of Roosevelt reported being assaulted by four men.
A woman was shot at her Botsford residence by a Detroit resident. The suspect was later arrested for attempted murder.
Monday, June 15
A business owner reported a break-in of his business in the 11600 block of Lumpkin.
A Yemans resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from someone in New York.
A Detroit resident reported someone broke into her car while it was parked in the 1700 block of Caniff.
A woman reported a break-in at her residence in the 2200 block of Hewitt. Officers noted no damage was made to her doors or windows.
