          This week’s Crime Log covers the period of June 11 through June 17.

Tuesday, June 11

          Officers responding to a call about a house break-in on Lumpkin St. discovered the electricity had been turned off without the owner’s permission.

          At 2:30 a.m. a woman was arrested for drunk driving while at Jos. Campau and Holbrook.

          A man reported his 1996 Dodge Caravan was stolen, but police reported that the vehicle had already been recovered by Detroit police.

          A landlord reported a tenant who had been evicted stole her stove and refrigerator.

          A man reported that building material was stolen from a house in the 3100 block of Jacob St. More material was stolen from the same location the next day as well.

          A Canton resident was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital after saying he wanted to harm himself.

Wednesday, June 12

          A woman reported that two men attempted to break into her garage in the 2300 block of Holmes St. The men fled in a gold-colored vehicle.

          A driver who committed a hit and run accident rolled over his vehicle on Doremus St. The driver apparently fled but the passenger was ticketed by officers.

          A Fraser resident reported that a Hamtramck resident was sending harassing communications.

          A Goodson St. resident was arrested for stealing construction supplies at a site in the 2900 block of Roosevelt St. The resident had been identified earlier.

          A woman reported someone illegally dumped debris on her lot in the 2100 block of Caniff.

          A Detroit teen was arrested for assault.

          A Yemans St. resident was caught riding a stolen bicycle and was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

          A Charest St. resident reported that someone stole and fraudulently cashed several of her personal checks.

          At about 10 p.m. an Evaline St. resident was arrested for being disorderly and obstructing officers.

Thursday, June 13

          At 9 a.m. two teens were arrested for possessing tobacco while in the 3000 block of Jacob. St.

          Officers investigated a burglar alarm at a business in the 11900 block of Conant. The owner of the business was called and investigated his business. He said nothing was missing.

          At 11:15 a.m. a teen was arrested following a traffic complaint near Hamtramck High School.

          A runaway teen was arrested in a stolen vehicle.

          A man reported that one of his workers stole over $8,000 worth of industrial tools.

A man reported that someone was demanding $300 to return his stolen car.

Three women were arrested for attempting to cash a fraudulent check. During the investigation officers found open liquor in their car and also discovered two of the women had outstanding warrants.

A woman reported that her boyfriend stole her checkbook and cashed several checks.

          A Dearborn man reported that a suspect robbed him in the 3900 block of Oliver St.

Friday, June 14

          A man reported that people he knows stole $500 from his car.

          A man was arrested outside a Jos. Campau bar for disorderly conduct and damaging property.

          A woman was arrested at 2 a.m. for drunk driving while at Jos. Campau and Norwalk.

          A woman reported that a man she knows rammed her car three times at Caniff and McDougall. The woman said the two had a verbal confrontation. The man was later arrested at his residence on Trowbridge St.

          At 12:12 p.m. a Lumpkin St. woman was arrested after brandishing a handgun and threatened to shoot her neighbor. The woman was also ticketed for fraudulently using a handicap parking permit.

          A Charest St. resident found a white Husky-type dog. The dog was taken to the Westland Humane Society.

Saturday, June 15

          A woman was arrested during a traffic stop on Southbound I-75 for driving without a license and having an outstanding felony warrant.

          A woman reported that a man she knows assaulted her in her residence in the 11400 block of Mitchell. The man fled before officers arrived.

          An Evaline St. man reported his house had been broken into and that his television was stolen.

Sunday, June 16

          A man living in the 2700 block of Norwalk reported his two dogs, an Australian cattle-sharpie mix and a pit bull, went missing 15 minutes after he let them out in his enclosed backyard.

          A resident reported that between 10 to 15 shirtless males armed with sticks knocked out his window screen and then fled.

          At almost 2 a.m. officers dispersed a disorderly crowd in front of Club Aces at 11425 Jos. Campau.

          At almost 6 a.m. officers pursued a stolen vehicle but the suspects escaped on foot.

          A Detroit resident was arrested for carrying an open bottle of liquor.

          A Holbrook resident reported receiving harassing phone calls from a person she knows.

Monday, June 17

          A woman reported that a man she knows stole her car keys and ran away.

          At 12:13 a.m., firefighters put out a trash can fire at Whalen and Mackay.

          A man reported that while walking past a house in the 3200 block of Trowbridge St., a man he knows flashed a knife and punched him in the face.

          A man was arrested after a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the 11700 block of Gallagher.

          A man living in the 12000 block of Gallagher told police he saw several suspects attempting to steal a tire from his car. The suspects fled before officers arrived.

          A man reported that someone stole 12 cases of steaks from his truck.

          A Neibel St. resident was attacked by a dog. Officers ticketed the owner of the dog.

          A woman reported that while at Belmont and Jos. Campau a man stole her gold necklace and then fled in a gold-orange colored car.
