This week’s Crime Log covers June 17-23.

Tuesday, June 17
At 11:15 p.m. officers checked out an open door at a vacant house in the 2300 block of Commor.
At 11:30 p.m. a loose dog was recovered in the 11600 block of Moran and taken to the police station.
At almost midnight a resident said that while at Lumpkin near Commor, three men in a dark SUV, one armed with a handgun, robbed him.
A Hanley resident reported their alley fence was damaged.
Wednesday, June 18
At 11 p.m. a Hamtramck family made a parental kidnapping. No other details were provided.
A man was arrested for having an open bottle of liquor while driving. He had been pulled over for a traffic stop at Jos. Campau and Carpenter.
At a little after 3 a.m. a business in the 8700 block of Jos. Campau was broken into.
At 9:30 a.m. a resident reported the theft of his 2014 Dodge Charger from the 3000 block of Jacob. The vehicle was later recovered.
A resident reported that two men opened a credit card account in his name without permission. A Caniff resident also reported a case of identity theft, saying someone used her ID to purchase a house and car in Maryland.
A Hanley woman reported someone damaged her outdoor AC unit.
Thursday, June 19
At 12:32 p.m. officers issued a noise violation to a resident in the 3200 block of Belmont.
Officers arrested a Detroit man for providing fraudulent insurance during a traffic investigation.
A man on Wyandotte reported his house was broken into and several items were stolen.
Officers arrested a Hamtramck man for an open warrant during a traffic investigation.
Friday, June 20
At a little after midnight, a man living in the 3000 block of Holbrook reported all four tires of his car were slashed.
At a little after 8 a.m. a resident living in the 3500 block of Caniff said someone stole items from her apartment.
A Garden City man reported that his work truck was broken into while parked in the 2200 block of Caniff. He said several items were stolen.
A woman reported that her boyfriend’s father assaulted her.
An Eastpointe man reported that his father’s pension check was taken from his mailbox on Lumpkin.
Saturday, June 21
At about 12:20 a.m. two people were arrested for domestic abuse during an incident in their residence.
A Detroit resident was placed under arrest for obstructing officers.
While investigating a break-in at the housing projects, officers found and seized a sub-machine gun.
A Hamtramck resident was arrested for assaulting his child’s mother after an argument.
Sunday, June 22
At a little after 2 a.m. a man said that he was approached by a man about 18 to 24 years old who pointed a shotgun at him and demanded money. The suspect fled without taking anything.
A Detroit resident was arrested on Lumpkin for assaulting his girlfriend at her home.
A St. Aubin resident reported being attacked by a pit bull. The dog was returned to its owner, and the owner was issued a ticket.
Monday, June 23
At 11:30 p.m. a Yemans resident reported the theft of items from his car while it was parked at Gallagher and Roosevelt.
A juvenile reported he was robbed of his scooter and assaulted by two other juveniles in the area of Circle Drive and Dequindre.
An Edwin resident was arrested for drunk driving after hitting several parked cars and a stop sign at Evaline and Brombach.
