Crime Log … 7/12/13

          This week’s Crime Log covers July 1 through 8.

Monday, July 1

At 9:30 p.m. a man was arrested at Lumpkin and Norwalk for disorderly conduct.

Officers investigated two rental units in the 2600 block of Casmere because the doors to the units appeared to have been kicked in.

A motorist reported that while driving southbound on I-75 at 11:30 p.m. someone threw a rock from the overpass which struck her vehicle. On Saturday, another motorist reported the same thing but this time at the Commor overpass.

A man was arrested after a traffic stop for having an improper license plate and improperly transportating medical marijuana.

At almost 4 a.m., a Lumpkin St. man was arrested for abusing the use of the 911 emergency phone number.

A Wyandotte St. resident reported the theft of his bicycle.

          A Casmere St. resident reported that a man attempted to kick in her front door and then fled on foot.

Tuesday, July 2

          At almost 11 a.m. a man was arrested at the Carpenter Medical Plaza for public intoxication.

At about 4 p.m. a hit-and-run accident was reported at Jos. Campau and Caniff.

Wednesday, July 3

          At 1 a.m. an adult and a teenager were arrested for disorderly conduct after a disturbance was reported at a residence in the 3000 block of Trowbridge St.

          A Carpenter St. resident reported her house was broken into sometime between 3 and 9 p.m.

Thursday, July 4

          At 11:30 p.m. a man reported that a man followed him over a dispute about fireworks.

          At 2:30 a.m. a resident in the 2400 block of Neibel St. reported a break-in.

          A man was arrested after a traffic stop on southbound I-75 for carrying a concealed weapon.

          A man living in the 2900 block of Goodson St. reported a break in.

          A man reported his 2002 Chrysler Voyager was stolen in the 11600 block of Klinger St.

Friday, July5

          At 11 p.m. a Holbrook St. resident reported being assaulted by a man with a baseball bat.

          At 11:30 p.m. a woman in the 12000 block of Grand Haven St. reported being assaulted by her boyfriend.

          A resident reported being bitten by a dog in the 2000 block of Belmont St.

         

          A Belmont St. woman reported receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown woman.

Saturday, July 6

          A prisoner in the Hamtramck police jail threatened to commit suicide and was then taken to the Crisis Center at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

          At 2 a.m. a man was arrested for assault following a fight at Jos. Campau and Pulaski.         

          A woman living in the 9400 block of Charest St. was issued a ticket after her dog was found running around the neighborhood.

          A juvenile in the 12000 block of Gallagher St. reported a man in his 40s, wearing blue shorts and no shirt, stole his bike.

          A Moran St. man reported someone broke into his garage and stole several items.

          A Sobieski St. man reported his son threw several flower pots at his car, causing damage.

          A Clinton Twp. resident and a Detroit resident were arrested at a Conant business after attempting to cash a stolen check.

          An Edwin St. woman said her husband assaulted her.

         

Sunday, July 7

          At 8 a.m. a man was arrested for urinating in public at Conant and Caniff.

          At almost 6:30 p.m. a Commor St. man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend and giving police a false name and date of birth.
          A Selfridge St. woman reported a juvenile damaged her car. Police ticketed the juvenile’s parent.

 

Monday, July 8

          At about 7:30 p.m. a man was arrested at Holbrook and Brombach for being drunk in public.

          A man reported that local juveniles threw a rock at his car and damaged it.

          At 12:30 a.m., a man reported his red 2000 Dodge Caravan was stolen from the Caniff and Conant area. Prior to the man’s call, residents told police that a vehicle matching that description was seen going down Trowbridge St. the wrong way at high speed.

          A woman reported that her son got into a physical fight with a teacher at Kosciuszko Middle School.

          A Detroit resident said that people he knows attacked him with baseball bats and stole his cell phone and cash.

          A woman reported someone used her Bridge Card without permission.

          A man said that two people came up from behind him while he was walking on Prescott just east of Conant and attacked him. The suspects stole his cell phone and $300.                                  

          A resident reported being hit by a car while on Trowbridge St. The driver fled.

          A woman reported that someone took her dog
