This week’s Crime Log covers Sept. 2-8.
Tuesday, September 2
A counterfeit $10 bill was passed during the Hamtramck Festival.
An intoxicated man was arrested after stabbing his brother during a fight in the 2700 block of Evaline.
A Detroit man was arrested after being caught trying to break into a car on Charest.
A renter said his landlord assaulted him.
At about 5 p.m. a man reported being assaulted at Jos. Campau and Carpenter by four men after he said “hello” to them.
Wednesday, September 3
A man reported he was pepper-sprayed by his ex-girlfriend during an argument while at Jos. Campau and Carpenter.
Two men, wearing all black clothing, grabbed a necklace from a woman while in the 11600 block of St. Aubin.
At 10:30 p.m. a woman reported her 16-year-old daughter was missing.

Thursday, September 4
A man was arrested for assault following a disturbance in the 12000 block of Moran.
An injured pit bull was rescued by officers and taken to the Westland Humane Society.
At about 7 p.m. a woman reported being assaulted and robbed by two men while walking near the Sunoco gasoline station on Jos. Campau and Roosevelt. The woman said the men grabbed her hair and dragged her into the Campau alley where she was punched in the face and robbed.
Friday, September 5
A woman reported being assaulted by her landlord’s daughter.
At almost 5 a.m. a person was arrested for possessing narcotic paraphernalia following an investigation at Caniff and Lumpkin.
A man reported the theft of his bike from his yard in the 2200 block of Faber.
A resident reported someone broke into a garage in the 2200 block of Edwin.
A woman attempted to cash a fraudulent check at Talmer Bank but fled before officers arrived. However, she left behind her ID.
A woman was arrested for possessing narcotic paraphernalia, obstructing officers, and trespassing following an investigation on Grand Haven.
Saturday, September 6
A woman reported being assaulted by her live-in boyfriend while at their Lumpkin residence.
A man reported that a teenager stole his BMX-style Mongoose bike from the 11000 block of St. Aubin.
A man living in the Rotunda apartments on Caniff reported someone gained entry into his apartment and stole several items.

Sunday, September 7
A person was arrested for a break-in that occurred in the 2200 block of Pulaski.
A resident reported being the victim of identity theft.
Monday, September 8

At almost 12:30 p.m. a woman reported that while in the 2200 block of Danforth she was assaulted by another woman.
A woman reported that a friend took $470 from her room on Sept. 4.
A break-in report was made for a house in the 3800 block of Miller. According to the report, $700 was stolen.
