Tau Beta staffmembers decorated the building for Ramadan.

During the spring season, many in the Hamtramck community will celebrate Ramadan. Tau Beta staff members decorated for the occasion!
We value the time we get to spend learning about and celebrating the many cultures and backgrounds of our students and look forward to continuing to grow our knowledge through school-wide activities.
Spring break
Sorry students – and teachers — your break ends next week. On Monday, it’s back to school.

The next meeting for the board is April 26 where they will have a Committee of the Whole Meeting.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Administration Building, 3201 Roosevelt. The public is invited to attend.
April’s regular board meeting was canceled due to the observance of Ramadan. The next regular board meeting is May 10, at 6 the Administrative Building.

Education in the news
Recently, Gov. Whitmer signed a bill into law that repeals a rule that required students who can’t read at grade level by 3rd grade must be held back.
Whitmer said that choice should be made by parents.
“Getting this done will offer parents more flexibility and ensure educators can focus on doing what they do best — helping students reach their full potential,” Whitmer said.
