This Saturday: Lemonade for a worthy cause

By Charles Sercombe
Summer may be over, but it’s still the season for an old-fashioned neighborhood lemonade stand.
This Saturday, Oct. 2, a group of kids will be manning their lemonade stand at Doremus and Gallagher, starting at noon and going until 3 p.m.
Why now?
Well, it’s for a worthy cause. They hope to raise at least $500 to help feed hungry kids in war-torn Yemen.
Yemen has been in a civil war for the past few years, and the population is on the verge of mass starvation.
The suggested donation for a cup of Yemenade, er we mean lemonade, is $1, but if you can afford to throw in some extra dollars, it’ll go a long way.
