This week’s Crime Log covers Oct. 14-20.
Tuesday, October 14
At almost 1:30 a.m. a man was arrested during a traffic stop for driving without a license and being wanted on multiple warrants.
A woman reported being assaulted by her boyfriend in the 5100 block of Yemans.
Officers responded to a man who had overdosed in the 1900 block of Edwin. The man was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital. Atbout one hour later, a woman on Casmere was also taken to DRH for a drug overdose.
Officers arrested a Detroit man for breaking into a house in the 2700 block of Norwalk.
Wednesday, October 15
At 7:30 a.m. a teenager was run over by a woman driving a Dodge Charger after the two had argued at the Caniff Mobil gasoline station.
At 8:20 a.m. a resident in the 11400 block of Gallagher reported someone broke into their car.
At 8:23 a.m. a resident in the 11400 block of Klinger reported someone broke into their garage and damaged their Ford Fusion.
An agent for Park-n-Save on Caniff reported someone had attempted to break into the business during the night.
At about 4 p.m. a 13-year-old was arrested for spray-painting graffiti in the 2600 block of Caniff. The teen was released to his parent, and the parent was ticketed.
A party store owner on Lumpkin reported several youths stole items at the same time and fled the store.
Thursday, October16
At 11:30 p.m. officers were called to break up a landlord-tenant dispute.
A resident reported the theft of their car parked in the 12000 block of Dyar.
Friday, October 17
A representative from the Hanley Home for Boys reported one of the boys had run away. The boy returned to the home the next day.
At 2:30 a.m. five people were arrested for being disorderly while at Conant and Caniff.
A man reported someone broke into a house in the 3900 block of Belmont that was being renovated.
A shed was broken into in the 3900 block of Prescott.
Saturday, October18
A person was ticketed for misusing 911.
A Macomb resident reported someone stole his car, which had the keys in it.
A Belmont resident reported a house break-in.
Three Trowbridge residents and a Belmont resident reported their car windows had been broken out and their cars searched for something to steal.
At about 10:30 a.m. a McDougall resident reported being robbed at gunpoint by a 6-foot man tall who was about 35 to 40 years old.
A Dyar resident reported his niece had run away from home.
A Klinger resident was arrested for retail fraud at Glory Supermarket.
Sunday, October 19
A resident in the 3900 block of Prescott reported the theft of lawn care items from his shed.
A resident reported she was being harassed over the phone by someone she knows.

Monday, October 20
At 12:42 a.m. a person was arrested during a traffic stop in the 9800 block of Charest for driving drunk.
A resident reported receiving harassing texts from someone she does not know.
A man reported someone broke into his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe while it was parked at Holmes and Mackay.
At about 9 a.m. officers assisted U.S. Marshals execute a search warrant at a Charest residence. Once inside, investigators discovered an illegal marijuana growing operation. Some 60 plants were seized.
Two people made counter-complaints after one of the persons visually recorded the other person and their child. The person being recorded then knocked the cell phone out of the hand of the other person.
A Caniff resident reported an ID theft and someone using his ID to make a false tax return.
