Merchants Can Find Out How to Go Green and Get Financing

Hamtramck merchants, want to learn how to save on energy, become greener, find financing and increase community policing?

If so, head over to the Clock Restaurant next Wednesday (July 29) at 8:15 a.m. for a meeting sponsored by the Downtown Development Authority.

You can also enjoy a free breakfast and network with other business owners.

Highlights of the meeting include a talk by Paris Kenney of the city’s Weed & Seed project who will talk about community policing.

Diane Van Buren Jones will discuss how to make your shop more energy efficient and “green building” incentives available to businesses.

Lorenzo Thurman, Executive Director of Detroit Micro-Enterprise Fund will talk about financing for established and start-up businesses.

Also on hand will be newly appointed Police Chief Marek Kalinowski.
