A mighty wind blew through town

UPDATE: Power was restored in Hamtramck at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Strong winds caused a power outage in Hamtramck today (Wednesday, July 20) at about 3 p.m.
The area affected is between Conant and Jos. Campau, from Carpenter to Holbrook, according to an outage map by DTE.
A tree was knocked down at Commor and McDougall, which brought down a power line.
DTE estimates that power will be restored around 10 p.m., if it hasn’t already come back on. We just checked again with DTE, and now it’s not known when power will come back on.
