County health agency breaks ground on new office

The Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN) will soon have a new home.
Today, Thursday (July 21) a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the agency’s new administrative offices at 8726 Woodward in Detroit.
DWIHN is a mental health facility that services 75,000 children and adults.
The groundbreaking ceremony comes on the heels of another event held just last month in which DWIHN broke ground on its new Crisis Care Center, a 39-bed facility in which children and adults can receive crisis stabilization services in Detroit.
“In our efforts to continue growing the organization and delivering quality behavioral healthcare services to our community, we at DWIHN understand the strong bonds that connect the neighborhood clubs,
organizations, and faith-based institutions,” said DWIHN President/CEO Eric Doeh.
“As an organization that caters to the needs of our community, we hope to continue to add value to the neighborhood as well as continue our mission of caring for people with mental health and substance use disorder needs.”
DWIHN is the largest community mental health agency in the State. The agency serves individuals with serious mental illness, children with serious emotional disturbance, people with autism, people with
intellectual and developmental disabilities and those with substance use disorder.
