Easter will once again be here this Sunday, as we all continue to grapple with the challenges life throws at us, from the least of things to things that can seem overwhelming.
Do you find yourself struggling both physically and emotionally? As if you seemed trapped, and can’t escape “the matrix”?
We get tossed back and forth, near even to the breaking point of just throwing in the towel, because life can be so exasperating at times.
Welcome to being human.
We all have our hidden fears – what are yours? What is it that you fear in life?
I recently ran an internet search on AI (artificial intelligence) and found reference to a survey that determined that being alone when dying is the single most significant fear for many people (with the second being, you guessed it, public speaking, known medically as glossophobia).
The fear of death is a deeply personal and widely experienced emotion, and a very real one, making it a significant factor in people’s lives. Today, I want to shed some light on this subject – with Hope and Truth.
Many people will suggest that you must be in their shoes in order to feel the pains and sufferings they’re going through, and, really, this is true.
And no one can fully and truly understand except the Creator Himself.
My first cousin, Marko, is currently battling brain cancer (glioblastoma) at the age of 36, and, believe me, there are very few things that one can truly say to make a person feel better while they’re suffering from cancer.
But there is Hope, and Truth.
Easter is extremely significant to Christians, a powerful reminder that we don’t have to fear death or dread loneliness; as death was conquered at the Cross by the Power of God through Jesus, His Only Begotten Son.
“Whosoever believeth in Him shall have everlasting life.”
I recently read the Book of Matthew 12, verses 11-15, and was blown away. It shows how Jesus asked a man to stretch forth his crippled or unwhole hand, and he stretched it forth and it was restored whole, like its counterpart.
And here’s the key part of this verse 15 of Matthew 12 – and it shows God’s grace for all humanity — that multitudes then followed him, and he healed them all! How incredible!
Everyone was healed because God is so amazing! When you read the Word of God (The Holy Bible), it’s always inspiring. Studying it often brings with it a totally new feeling or emotional experience.
We live in a sometimes-unforgiving world, filled with uncertainty, and if we’re not careful fear can get its grip on us, rendering us feeling powerless. But our hope is not blind faith.
Christianity is grounded in overwhelming evidence, science, and, yes, EXPERIENCE. But this Love is a two-way street; in 2 Timothy 4: v. 7-8, the elder apostle Paul puts it, “7: I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. 8: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing,” a quote which highlights the importance of remaining loyal to Christ.
I love the Old Testament Verse in the book of Psalms 110:1, where it also talks about The Son of God, Jesus. GOD said unto my Lord, “Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.”
And, in Psalms 110:5: “The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.”
This is our God. We are never alone.
In the case of my cousin’s struggle, he draws his energy from all Christian prayer, and welcomes it with an open heart. Let us not focus on our problems, nor even our fears, but rather focus on Him who takes away all fears and anxieties.
As Jesus taught, “Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
May the blessings of Easter see you past all earthly worries and fears.

By worshipping a human who died, you’re still inside the Matrix.
