Without a doubt, the nation and Hamtramck is deeply divided politically and culturally.
This week, Thanksgiving week, though, is time to put aside our differences and think what binds this community together.
No matter what, when it comes down to it, Hamtramck has only itself to make this a safe and prosperous community. And that requires strong connections between people and our cultures.
Hamtramck is a small town, but we are large in spirit. People care about each other.
Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and be thankful.
It’s a day we can rest and count our blessings.
Despite our occasional setbacks, we are survivors here. And we are also quick to lend a helping hand to our neighbors.
That is community spirit. And, that is Hamtramck.
There is a true sense that we are all in this together here. And that means working together, and not working against one another.
So, on Thanksgiving Day, take time to reflect — and ask yourself: how can I help better our community?
The Review went to press early this week, and we hit the streets today, Wed. Nov. 27.
This week, be sure to go out and support our local businesses.
Oh yes, go Lions!
