          This week’s Crime Log covers Sept. 17-23.

Tuesday, Sept. 17

Warren police recovered a 1994 Buick Century that had been reported stolen in Hamtramck

          A teen was arrested after assaulting his mother and brother.

          Officers came across suspects stripping a stolen car, but the suspects fled in a car. However, one suspect was arrested after he crashed a stolen car into a tree.

          A woman was arrested during a traffic stop on an open felony warrant.

          A Mitchell St. man told police he thinks his landlord stole tools he had in his garage.

          An officer spotted a man he knew that was wanted on an open Hamtramck warrant. During the arrest, illegal narcotics were found on the man. 

          For the second time in a week, a pizza delivery man was given a counterfeit bill on a delivery in the Hamtramck projects.

Wednesday, Sept. 18

          At almost 2:30 a.m. a Goodson St. woman reported her boyfriend assaulted her.

          A man reported that someone opened four Verizon phone accounts in his name without his permission.

A Shelby Township man reported his 2007 Yukon stolen from Hanley and Jos. Campau.

 

Thursday, Sept. 19

          A man reported that a person known to him robbed him of his glasses and $12 while at 11945 Conant.

          A Hamtramck woman reported that someone who was visiting her home may have stolen items.

An officer responded to a call from Family Dollar store where a man reported someone broke into his car and stole his school books and a book bag.

A Detroit man was arrested after he hit three parked cars and the fence at Henry Ford Health Center building on Wyandotte St.

 

Friday, Sept. 20

A Detroit resident reported being robbed at gunpoint while in the back yard of a house in the 3200 block of Belmont St.

A man reported that the rear window of his car was damaged, possibly with a BB gun.

During a traffic stop, officers found marijuana packaged for sale, illegal prescription pills and a handgun that was stolen out of Washtenaw County home invasion incident. Officers arrested a Detroit woman.                                                      Officers located and arrested a Hamtramck woman for an open income tax warrant.       

Officers arrested a Hamtramck woman in the housing projects and placed her under arrest for an open Hamtramck warrant.                                                                       

Saturday, Sept. 21

          A Gallagher St. man reported that a person he knows assaulted him.

          A Roosevelt St. woman reported her 2002 Audi was stolen from in front of her house.

          A Lehman St. resident reported her purse was stolen while she was walking near Memorial Park.

A man on Jacob St. reported he was approached by three men while walking by Memorial Park and one of the males punched him in the face. Another man knocked him to the ground and stole his cell phone. One of the males also attempted to take his wallet but the man fought back. The suspects fled on foot.

A man was at 10229 Jos. Campau when a man wearing a blue sweat shirt with an old English D on it took his cell phone.                                   

An employee from Sam’s Market reported receiving a bad check in the amount of $662.

 

Sunday, Sept. 22

Oakland County Sheriffs arrested a Hamtramck man in Hamtramck on a warrant for assault.

Three Moran St. residents reported that a man they know has tried several times to run over one of the residents, threatened another resident with a brick and left numerous text messages with the third resident warning he is going to kill her and burn her house down. The suspect is also on parole for murder.

A Trowbridge St. woman reported seeing an unknown man sitting in her car while it was parked near her house. The suspect then fled on foot.

          A man was arrested at Al-Haramine Foods for retail fraud.

Monday, Sept. 23

          A car owner reported that the front passenger window of his 2010 Cadillac Escalade was broken out while the vehicle was parked on Hanley and Jos. Campau.

          A Caniff St. resident reported a break-in to his residence and the theft of several items.

          A person riding a bicycle at Casmere and Moran was struck by a car. The victim was treated for injuries at Detroit Receiving Hospital.

          An Evaline St. resident said her dog was bitten by another dog while she was visiting a friend on Charest St.

          Two residents said they were assaulted by three people while they were in area of the 12000 block of Conant.
