Monday, March 17
At almost 2:30 a.m. a Hamtramck resident was arrested for an outstanding warrant after being pulled over in a traffic stop.
At 3 a.m. firefighters put out a car fire in the 3900 block of Miller.
At 11:30 a.m. a woman living in the 3000 block of Lehman reported being assaulted by her boyfriend.
Eastpointe police officers recovered a handgun that was reported stolen in Hamtramck.
Tuesday, March 18
At 9:30 p.m. a man was arrested in the 2600 block of Holmes for firing a gun and being a felon in possession of a weapon. A woman at the scene was also arrested for obstructing officers.
A Hewitt woman said her boyfriend kicked in her back door and assaulted her.
At 7:14 a.m. a woman living in the 11500 block of Nagel reported someone had removed lug nuts from her car wheels.
Officers recovered a 2014 Ford Escape with Ohio license plates. A woman later came into the police station to report it stolen. She was told the car had been recovered.
The owner of A&C Market reported a man cashed a fraudulent check.
A Hamtramck resident reported his car was stolen in the 3100 block of Roosevelt.
A resident reported that the father of her child used her car and stole the stereo from it, damaging the dash panel.
Wednesday, March 19
At about midnight a prisoner from Wayne County Jail was taken to the Hamtramck Police Station for an outstanding warrant.
At nearly 5 a.m. a person was arrested for not paying Hamtramck income taxes.
A resident was arrested for drunk driving after getting into an accident.
Thursday, March 20
At 11:35 a.m. a resident reported someone stole her car from the 3800 block of Miller.
Officers located and stopped a stolen Chevrolet Camero and arrested a Detroit woman for possession of a stolen vehicle.
A Hamtramck man was arrested for possessing marijuana during a traffic stop in the area of Carpenter and Conant.
Friday, March 21
The tires on several vehicles were slashed in the 11300 to 11400 block of Nagel.
A representative from Caniff Liberty Charter School reported someone broke the windows on the southside of the building.
Officers found and arrested a Detroit man in his vehicle for being intoxicated.
A Hamtramck woman reported her 1995 Jeep Cherokee stolen from her residence.
A Hamtramck man reported that a former employee made threatening phone calls to his cell phone. The man said he was worried for his and his mother’s safety.
Saturday, March 22
At 9:30 a.m. a resident reported his car stolen while it was parked in the 2200 block of Goodson.
A resident reported his son was missing from the 3900 block of Miller.
Officers arrested a Hamtramck woman for damaging property at a local dress shop. The woman was later transported to the Detroit Receiving Hospital Crisis Center for a mental evaluation.
Officers responded to the area of Carpenter and Fleming on a report of a fight. The parties involved were interviewed and sent on their way. One subject was transported to the Detroit Receiving Hospital Crisis Center.
A man was ticketed for possessing an open container of alcohol.
Sunday, March 23
A Hamtramck woman reported her juvenile sister was missing from their Mitchell residence.
Officers responded to the area Buffalo and Edwin for a report of vicious dogs. Officers had to terminate the dogs.
Monday, March 24, 2014
At 12:43 a.m. a Hamtramck resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being pulled over.
At almost 4:30 a.m. a Neibel resident was taken to Detroit Receiving Hospital on the request of a family member who was concerned about her mental well-being.
At around 7:30 a.m. a resident reported that someone slashed a tire of her car and threw eggs on her windshield.
At almost 10 a.m. a pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run at Moran and Casmere.
At almost 2:30 p.m. a person reported the theft of his backpack, containing his laptop computer and textbooks from his car while it was parked on Charest, north of Holbrook.
At about 6:30 p.m. a Lehman resident was arrested for domestic violence.
A Burger resident reported someone stole her purse from the back porch of her residence.
