Hamtramck Goodfellows need our financial support

          This week’s issue of The Review is dedicated to the Hamtramck Goodfellows.

          The group has been around for over 50 years and has been dedicated to helping the needy during the holiday season. For Christmas, the Goodfellows give our low-income residents a voucher that be exchanged for food at A&C Market.

          This allows them to have a proper Christmas dinner.

          The effort in recent years has not been an easy one. There are simply too many low-income folks and not enough donations. Each year, the group has to dig a little deeper in their reserves to meet the need.

          If you see a Goodfellow hawking this week’s issue of The Review, try to give a little extra.

          If you are not in town, you can mail a check to the organization via city hall. Simply make the check out to the Hamtramck Goodfellows and mail it to: Hamtramck Treasury Department, 3401 Evaline, Hamtramck, MI 48212.

          Your donation will go a long way to making someone’s holiday a lot more cheerful.
