More good news for the stadium

At Tuesday’s big press conference at Hamtramck Stadium to talk about the $2.6 million grant money allocated for the renovation of the grandstand, Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence had some surprising news:
The new federal infrastructure bill will include enough money to build restrooms at the stadium site.
There are currently no bathrooms in Veterans Park, which includes the stadium area.
The federal dollars will also allow water and sewer pipes to be connected to the Jos. Campau system.
Veterans Park and the stadium have been undergoing steady improvements in recent years.
This is just one more piece of the overhaul puzzle of the park area.
Congresswoman Lawrence’s district includes Hamtramck.
