Show your Cosmos pride and donate to a good cause

Hamtramckans have long been known for their generosity – especially when it comes to lending a hand to one of our own.
Former Detroit Tigers and Hamtramck High School graduate Ike Blessitt is someone in need.
He has had lingering health and financial problems, and is in need of urgent house repairs.
Local baseball fans have come together to round up financial donations, via a gofundme site online.
You can find a link by searching for Blessitt, or go to our website story on Blessitt from last week, where you can simply click on the link to make a donation.
Like many seniors, Blessitt has a fixed income. Unfortunately, he missed out on qualifying for a baseball pension.
The Tigers organization has also been generous in the past when it comes to supporting the less fortunate. We hope someone in that organization has become aware of Blessitt’s plight, and will step up.
Blessitt has been a great ambassador for baseball, and he has selflessly donated his time in coaching younger generations to hone their baseball skills. If nothing else, those younger folks will develop a life-long love for the sport.
And, just maybe, one of them will go on to become a major league ball player.
