Sunday, Dec. 29
At 3 a.m. a woman reported that someone she knows stole her cell phone.
At 7:30 a.m. a man was arrested for assaulting his girlfriend. The two had been arguing.
A resident said his car was stolen while it was parked in front of his residence in the 5100 block of Yemans St.
Another resident reported the theft of his car while parked in front of his residence in the 2400 block of Andrus St.
A Trowbridge St. resident reported the theft of his 2002 Dodge Caravan. The vehicle was later recovered in Monroe County.
A resident reported someone opened a cell phone account with Verizon without her permission.
Monday, Dec. 30
A woman was arrested for using a knife to threaten someone she knows.
A woman said someone tried to steal her 1993 Ford Tempo while it was parked in the Caniff-Klinger area.
A woman reported that someone used her Social Security number to establish a false ID.
Tuesday, Dec. 31
At 1 a.m. a man was arrested for drunk driving and leaving the scene of property damage that occurred in the 11600 block of Gallagher St. His blood alcohol level was .25, which is three times over the level of being considered intoxicated.
At 11 a.m. a woman was arrested at Jos. Campau and Holbrook for being disorderly.
Wednesday, Jan. 1
At 1:30 a.m. a woman living in the 2300 block of Zinow St. reported her garage was broke into.
At 12:40 a.m. a person was arrested for assault following a disturbance at Conant and Belmont.
A Hamtramck woman reported her 13-year-old son was missing.
Thursday, Jan. 2
Following an investigation at a residence in the 2600 block of Edwin St. at 2:36 a.m., a person was arrested for violating the city’s knife ordinance and possessing open intoxicants.
A woman reported that her boyfriend broke out the back window of her 2003 Chevrolet Impala while it was parked in the 2200 block of Andrus St.
Friday, Jan. 3
At 11 a.m. a woman was arrested at CVS for shoplifting.
Following a call about domestic abuse, a man was arrested for assault and attempted burglary.
Saturday, Jan 4
At 11:30 p.m. a man was arrested after assaulting his girlfriend at her residence in the 5100 block of Yemans St.
A Jos. Campau business in the 10000 block of the avenue reported the theft of an item.
A person was arrested for disorderly conduct in the 11600 block of Jos. Campau.
At 12:30 a.m. a person dropped off a woman’s purse at the police station. The purse was found in the Belmont-Conant area.
At 1:17 p.m. a man reported he was held up at Jos. Campau and Caniff by a man wearing a mask, black hoody and blue jeans. The suspect had a knife.
A resident was assaulted by four men while in the 2300 block of Zinow St. The suspects fled the area.
