Empowerment meeting for women will be held at Veterans Park

Saturday morning (Aug. 15) at Veterans Memorial Park will be the scene of a special empowering meeting for women.
Women who are suffering from addiction, living in poverty or even homeless, or who suffer from other issues, are invited to attend.
The event, which starts at 10 a.m., is being hosted by State Representative Alberta Tinsley Talabi.
Those attending will receive a free breakfast and lunch.
Also speaking at the event with be Dr. Ghidah Al-Khouri from the Hamtramck Henry Ford Clinic.
