Crowds were small but appeared enthusiastic during last weekend’s Art in the Park, a daylong family-friendly affair at Zussman Park.
There were six vendors selling a variety of items: jewelry, glassware, dolls, drawings and paintings, greeting cards, clocks and other colorful pieces.
Organizer Catrina Stackpoole, a member of the city council, said that she was pleased with results of the first of what she sees as a regular event at the park each summer.
“Next year’s goal is have 20 vendors,” said Stackpoole, who also operates Recycled Treasures on the northend of Jos. Campau. “We’re off to a good start, and it’ll only get better.”
